Plasma ignition circuit
Hello everybody!
Here you ‘ll find my construction of an electrical circuit that generates Plasma.!
I have also made some experiments on using plasma with water, to rortate an internal combustion engine. See below….:
Here is the circuit.:
- Taking power from the wall outlet. (230 volts AC).
- The AC is converted to DC, through a Full wave Bridge (316 Volts DC).
- Then store the 316VDC in a 470μF capacitor.(C1)
- “Plus” is goning to Ground, after passes from a 100W/220V (33Ω) bulb, and a small Ballast 20W/220V (from fluorescent lamps)(in parallel with the bulb) in series, and after stored again in an other capacitor (C2).
- “Minus” is going to the spark gap, after stored in C2 capacitor. Also minus is passed through 6 diodes. These diodes are put in order to prevent the high voltage go inside the capacitors.
- Last, we have a high voltage transformer T1, igniton automotive coil. and giving to it pulses of 12volts.
Here you can find the scematic and parts list.:

Here is a video with me explaining everything about the construction.: “Video link”
The second part of the experimentations, is the engine! I am lucky to own an old yamaha townmate engine 80cc. It is not working because of a fault in the stock ignition system, but it turns fine! I used the ignition coil in the plasma circuit above. In below videos, you can see the engine. I have put the sparkplug inside the cylinder, and giving single shots of plasma. You should be able to see me adjusting the engine’s position, at Top Dead Center, and a bit after, (just when the piston starts to come down). And then give plasma spark.!
The first Video, shows the engine rortations with no water on the spark-plug. Just air. Note that in the engine there is no gas, no fuel. Only air.! The engine hardly rortates 180º. In the Second Video, you can see the same experiment, but the spark-plug is wet with water. It’s amazing to see that the engine rortated 260º+ degrees….Very encouraging results.!! Here are the videos.:
Update 1.:
I applied the circuit on a 2-stroke engnine. Any details can be found on this video.: Engine working on plasma ignition
We observe an increase in idle RPM when plasma ignition is on (bulb glows). And then RPM decrease when off. There is no water in engine (because it’s 2-stroke). Just oil and gasoline mixture.
The spark that occurs inside when plasma ignition is on, can be seen in this video.: The spark-plug outside of the engine
Here are some pictures you may want to see.:
These are the results so far. For any comment or suggestion, please contact me!!!!
