Crosley radio
My grandfather had forgotten it in a cupboard since 1945!!!! How it didn’t became rotten…. God knows!! About a year ago the time had come to find it there!! Then the idea came down!! Then with my father’s assistance, in our free time, we made it play the FM band. Although all the electronics inside are new and taken from a contemporary FM receiver, the appearance counts. We put out all the electronic components, we rubbed it, painted it, and installed the new radio. That simple! The time I am writing this article, I am listening to it….!! Really smooth and acoustic sound..!!
Value: I’d say invaluable….(it was my grandpa’s)
Rebuild costs: 10 euros costed the new radio. So let’s say 5 euros for screws, potentiometer for the volume, and for the extra needed cables.
